For over a decade Rachel has taught, directed, and choreographed musical theater for thousands of young people across the United States.  For 6 years she was director of the P.S. 261 Afterschool Musical, creating opportunities for hundreds of elementary school students to learn about musical theater and perform in large-scale productions.

Rachel has experience teaching a wide range of ages (pre-K through college) as well as students on the Autism spectrum and English Language Learners.  Culturally responsive pedagogy and anti-racist practices are always at the center of her teaching.  Whether directing a well-known musical or facilitating the devising of new work, Rachel holds space for all students to play, question, explore and express themselves in a safe, collaborative, and joyful environment.

Her work includes programming at New York City Center, Second Stage Theater, All Stars Project, ArtsConnection, Girls Leadership, Wingspan Arts, The Leadership Program, Prison Creative Arts Project, and New York City Children's Theater.
